Hey, quick question,
I have a trappers license now, and a neighbor friend called to see if I could get rid of some nuisance peafowl messing up and damaging his property.
I told him I needed to check the regs on this and would get back to him..
Question is this, trapping nuisance animals, yotes, coons etc, no problem trap them live, remove from proptery, humanly dispatch the critter and dispose of waste.
what about peafowl? same rules apply? I hear they are tasty too????
any trappers can help me with this one???
thanks

I dont see an issue with it, Ive had a permit since you had to actually renew it not just register once. The only things you cant fool with are black bears, deer, alligators or other protected/endangered species. And protected species can be removed with a special allowance permit from FWC.
Same as muscovy ducks. They are invasive and not protected by any means. As long as they aren't someone's pet or you have permission, they are yours for the taking. I hear the muscovy ducks are damn fine table fare too. Only requirement is that you must "humanely dispatch" them.

No way, they will put you in jail in Pinellas for killing a duck,or even harrasing one.
Not a muscovy. If you harass a mallard, its different. The muscovy's are interbreeding with the native mallard population, screwing up the gene pool. The muscovys were actually selectively bred to be large and not be able to fly as well for the meat.
