Just kidding,I do wish I learned Spanish though. There's so many of them on jobs anymore I'd love to know what they're saying and turn it back on them.
yes I agree that in america the primary language is english. and it used to be the worldwide primary business language as well, no longer. in alot of other countries the education systems teach several languages. that would benefit many of our students in later life when they enter the job market. In my profession a bi, or multi lingual nurse is in much higher demand and can expect to be paid more. in the business world fugedabout it, it is almost required now to speak japanese and chinese. if we expect our children to be able to compete with those from other countries we realy need to step up our educational systems or our future generations will end up on assembly lines building their products.
I had a similar issue with my son's teacher. He seemed to be having a hard time in 1 class and said he could'nt understand his teacher when she talked. I went in to talk to her and realized that I could'nt understand her either. Didn't take but a few days to get him into another class and he ended up doing much better. I just talked to the principal and explained that I couldn't understand her either and I wanted his class changed if possible and it was done.
well, went ot the school today. first off, the semester is about over. to late to change his schedule around.(won't have the class next semester) teachers assit was a recent addition. After being told that many students only speak spanish, and this was to accomodate them. I began speaking to her in Philipino. (yes i'm a multi lingual redneck). She couldn't understand i was saying. POINT MADE. was then told about the "rights " of the children to recieve an education.----- wrong move sister. proceeded to tell her, that i am a disabled vet, that i bleed for "their" rights. and my child needs to be able to understand the people teaching him.
oh, but the period he has that class, she will not be teaching it. semester is over the 15th.
