need some input on how to deal with this. don't want to come across sounding like a racist, redneck. let me explain. was talking to my son about school today. and he told me he couldn't understand his teachers aide. very heavy spanish accent. but she also teaches in spanish. (out of 18 students only 3 don't speak spanish). this is geography, social studies, american history and economics rolled into 1- 9 week class. when my son told me this, i was upset. (need some of your BP pills, hellbilly) Called the school and will be talking to the Assit principal tomorrow. any thought would be appreciated.
my sons also in a bi lingual class.. half day english and half day spanish.. hate going to school nite cause i cant understand the teacher.. i think its a waste of time.. I tell my wife why do we gotta put him in this? her mom dont speak english and i told her well she needs to learn english and my wife says NO you need to speak spanish.. I said seriously kiss my ass.
class is not supposed to be bilingual. no spanish spoken in this house.
