Looking for a lil help..
A buddy bought a 87 dodge ram charger 3 days ago.. Private sale.. 26 hours after he bought it all the gas was gone.. Turns out the tank had a hole in it. And he needs a new tank. We have looked everywhere.. The tank is the same part as an 83 through 87 dodge ram charger. In 89 they changed to the fuel pump in the tank. According to aftermarket and vantage parts they stopped in 82.. Dodge no longer makes the 83 through 87 so there for he is ___.. Anyone know of anyone with a ram charger for parts, or any ideas.. Anyone have a few parts laying around extra from making a buggy from a ram charger in those dates.. He will pay for the tank and shipping or come get it if its close..
its a ramcharger, not to be confused with a ram charger.. this is a bronco type thing not the momm's station waggon
its plastic.. and its that type of plastic that nothing will stick to..
we tried.. its 1/2 way on the tank right where the straps are..
I have seen marine sealant used on gas tanks and hold for the life of the vehicle. I think it's called Marinetec??
really... let me call him...
There are several ways to fix it. The one in the link (or a variation of it) is about the only real way to do it.
