eat em raw, esp when you get a live baby crab in one, bonus.
Wish I could still eat them. I am highly allergic to them
My fishing partner is allergic to them as well, but he will drop a benadryl or two before we go out, slam down some oysters with a couple of beers and head right back to the house to pass out.. every time we head down to Bokeelia.

I have a different allergy. Not the typical face swelling, itching, etc you get from shellfish..It is something to do with my stomach as my body can't process them. I get the same symptoms as food poisoning, times 10. My allergist told me it could easily cause death in my case and to stay away from them. I can't even eat them cooked. I've tried. Trust me I love them, but had no choice but to give them up
Raw with lots of fresh horseradish or oysters rockafeller... love them either way!!!!

We can get fresh oysters right in front of my buddies cottage. This time of the year they are totally wicked as the water is sooooo coolllddddd it just seems to make them so much better. We just put them on a tray on the BBQ and when the shell opens they are ready. We add Frank's hot sauce and a shot of tequilla in the shell and instant tasty; however, leave out the tequilla after a few or you won't remember how tasty they really were.
