I truly hate them.
They really expect you to send your only receipt in for there product. You have a cart full of stuff 4 are offering mail in rebates. So witch one do you want your rebate on?
So when you shop this season make sure at bass pro you make them give you a receipt for every item.

Remember some time thing also get lost in the mail. Bulky letterer have a problem in some mail machinery they can rip open.
When you mail in the upc and the forum make sure to keep your mail smooth and flat.

Ps don't believe the company spoke person who says a copy of the receipt will be fine. Some one else does the processing and they wont accept it.

Just a few reminders before you buy stuff this season.

I usually stay away from mail in rebates, because I always forget to mail them in. I will usually remember after it has expired. It happened with the last handgun I bought

Why not make a copy and keep the copy for yourself. If you have to use the copy of the receipt later on for any issues, and they don't want to honor it, just pitch a friggin' fit until you get your way. Sounds crappy and I hate to do it myself, but sometimes you have to play leap frog with folks until you get one to appease you.

generally my rule of receipts and making copies is ALWAYS keep the original and write the date, price and what the item is in ink on it in large clear easy to read writing so if later when the ink fades on the receipt you still have something. and a copy of the original always comes out better than a copy of a copy. the invisible ink they use on receipts these days are crap, a few years later you got a blank piece of paper, try bringing one of those to a tax audit.

Most receipts are printed on thermal printers on the register. That's why they fade. I always make a copy of the receipt on big purchases. I keep them in a folder in my filing cabinet.
Most rebates will allow a copy of the receipt to be submitted. You have to read the rules carefully and follow them to a T. That's how they get you. If you don't do the smallest thing, they will refuse it.

The last few rebates I did were for a bottle of rum that I tried and a prestone antifreeze rebate. Both went to the same P.O. Box in Arizona. They just had different routing numbers. Both allowed copies of the receipt. I ended up getting $10 for the rum and $10 for the antifreeze. The worst part was the 8-10 weeks processing time. I completely forgot that I mailed them off.

But in general, yes they are a pain!
