When I was a young child, my grand parents took me to see the Piasa Bird, etched into the limestone bluffs overlooking the the Mississippi River in Alton, IL. Every winter the eagles would come from up north to visit this area. Hundreds of bald eagles would descend on this location. It was amazing to see so many at one time.

I seen three of them Sunday morn coming home from the woods on 19. One was eating something dead like a buzzard would do right on 19.
