Whats the old saying? The squeaky wheel gets the most grease? Call them every couple days, if you really want the job. If you call, they will see that you are sincere. When I was a manager, the guys that called to check on their application got put to the top of the pile

Ya it's going to be game-on starting Monday.

Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

An actual hand-written letter thanking them for the opportunity to speak with them about the job will work wonders. Good manners will get you a long ways.
