me and crock were arguing about if it is a fresh or salt water reel i always thought it was a freshwater reel anyone know

shimano wont warranty if you use a freshwater reel in saltwater

the adds and cataloges say its a freshwater reel that is saltwater safe, whatever that means as far as the warranty goes

the newer stradics are saltwater, all the sustains are saltwater, the stela is saltwater also..
