no kidding, my jeep i can do most things, or at least feel comfortable trying to. my wifes truck, a f150 is a pain in the butt to work on. i am thankful to have a friend who has a shop and helps us out when we are in a bind. just saturday we fixed her a/c and that normally would have set us back close to a grand, we were out of there for less than 300 bucks. new compressor and dryer.
i need someone to drop the oil pan and take the valve covers off and clean out the engin.. my bros pissed.
Fill the motor with karosen all the way from the oil pan to the valve covers let it sit over night and drain it. that will probably clean it. then buy cheep oil and change it a couple of times.
Dang man....you're going to have to do more than just drain the pan and remove the valve covers! Think about all the places in an engine that oil gets to.......that's where this stuff probably is. Wrist pins, crankshaft bearings, oil pump, valves, lifters, etc...etc.
You'll be extremely lucky if it doesn't need a complete engine overhaul. Since it seized.....my money says that's exactly what it will need.
Edit....probably have to rebuild the heads too.
yea hes probably just gonna get rid of it.. shame its a nice car.
