LoL...guys this is kinda funny.

My mother knows I hunt. She knows I've had deer, hog, turkey, duck, and various other wild game. She doesn't like the idea of hunting (though she enjoys a good burger). Today though, she found out I eat squirrel... her favorite animal.

Now she refuses to speak to me.
Give her a few weeks, she'll get over it.

Anyone else have loved ones that take issue with you hunting?

My mother-in-law wouldn't eat venison or wild hog so we made a venison roast Tuesday night and told her it was beef she went on and on have great it was....pretty much same thing with some sausage i made at christmas on and on how great it was. Once both meals were done i told her "oh by the way guess what you just ate" I'm sure glad they live 1100 miles away.

Haha, that's funny. Yeah, I've had family and friends balk at the thought of me eating wild game. That is until I can convince them to try it. My oldest daughter ALWAYS told me she would not eat anything I killed. Especially venison since the deer were so pretty... I made some backstrap on the grill a couple of months ago. Wrapped it in bacon and cooked it like filets medium rare with a little salt, pepper and garlic. She almost flipped out when she tasted it. She's a believer now :>)

Thing is, if you can cook it up real tasty and get her to try it. It may change her whole outlook on this prime resource of natural, free range meats.

Ha ha, I had a debate with my wife's friends mother a while back at a birthday party. She said there is no way in God's earth she would eat a wild animal. She said this while she is bellied up to a Publix sandwich ring, and eating on it like it was her day job. I told her about all the additives in the ham she was eating and how the hogs were penned up, etc....she just kept chowing and looked at me like I was nuts.

If anyone in my family didn't support my hunting, they would be the odd man out
