found some wild honey bees. Harvested some of the combs. It is the sweetest best tasting honey I have ever had. When I go up to NC hunting stepdad is going to give me some of his bee keeper stuff. Going to start a few boxes of my own. I have orange, tangerine and grapefruit trees on my place. Hoping for some good honey

Sounds like a good plan! This year we didn't have bees on our place, 1st time in many years. The bee keeper had such a die off last year he had a time rebuilding back to his previous number of hives, about 400 hives I think. Some seasons there have been 50 hives on our place. The bees can drain a bird bath in a day or two. Maybe next season he'll bring some back, he paid rent by providing us with several quarts of honey each season. And as everyone knows, they are great for a garden spot!

Nice! I have a friend in Lutz with a couple of hives. They produce some great honey. The batch this year was dark like molasses. It still tasted good but that was a strange color. One of my daughters uses it to make homemade granola and man is it amazing! It's raw though and I found a bee head in my bowl the other day! It grossed her out but I said, it was just added protein!
