i cannot stand working on my own house. especially when it is not a field of work that i excel in. this one day off in the middle of the week is gonna be a pain in the arse. 😈 cabinets and windows 😈 installing both arent too bad, but fine tuning and fixing is not what i want to do on a day off.
this crap needs to be done regardless of matrimony. just not a fan of doing stuff to my own house. mostly cause im not gettin paid. i would much rather be at work today.
I need to do alot of stuff around here including cleaning the house, but it can wait cause no one is hear to tell me to do it. 😆
i guess the weeds are gonna start growing again too. so ill have to add that to my list of crap to do.
In well over 21 years of marriage, I have never seen a "honey-do" list. My wife might tell me when something is broken or she has an idea to change something, but it's up to me when and how it gets done. I know guys who feel they have to have their wive's permission to do anything, and I just can't understand it. If I want to do something, and she don't like it, she has the problem, not me!
As for doing chores on a day off, sometimes you just have to do it. I don't like working with copper plumbing, sweating joints, etc. but I can, and my house is 35 years old so I get a few chances to practice. Same goes for tile work, especially grouting. I can do it, but I don't like it. And then there's car repairs, when something breaks it has to be fixed ASAP, cause we can't do without our vehicles. But unless it's an emergency (and I'm the one who makes that decision) it can always wait a bit if I have something better to do!
