I don't know what parts of the world you've been all around. I've never left the continent and have seen train/subway systems, airports, sports arenas, colleges and shopping malls, bridges and tunnels larger than that. the V.A. hospital in Northport N.Y. I worked at had a tunnel system longer than that. I bet Disney has a system 10 times that long. yes, definitely big doings for a small town. some corp has deep pockets, maybe it's gonna be federally funded and we all get to pay for it.

A friggin bridge is a whole different beast than an indoor shooting range.

Obviously subways too...because they are tunnels. Hell I rode the subway and the "L" when I spent the winter in Chicago and I could probably count on one hand the # of times we went straight for a klick.

Most airports I've ever been in ain't 1,000 yrds straight. They have wierd ass shapes too 'em. Unless you are talking about the runway.

I've never seen a college building big enough for a 1,000 yrd range. Nor a stadium or "sports arena". I've shot on 1,000 yard ranges and I can honestly say that I have never been in a building that big. I ain't saying they aren't out there, but they aren't around every corner.

If someone builds a frigging KILOMETER indoor range in CRYSTAL RIVER I will not hunt in this state for a whole year. $30 a head ain't gonna pay for crap for a building that big. Really, how many people are gonna go driving to Crystal River to shoot? MAYBE the folks on there way to their camps who take 19 north.

There's already a well established outdoor range that cops use already that don't cost them a $. It's called CAMP BLANDING.

The people that own American pro diving are the ones building it. It will be a public facility and its supposed to be one of the largest shooting sports facilities in Florida when it is done.

You know the benches could be indoors and the range outdoors, just saying.
