32 freezes pure water but food densities are different plus to have foods frozen with a good shelf life they need to be frozen fast and thoroughly.Also a low temp is good when you are in and out of your freezer or adding foods often.When foods are added it takes time to reach the level to freeze and this time can induce freezer burn or spoilage.

I understand just fine,I just never paid attention to how cold a freezer actually was. I just assumed that below 32 would be ok. Thank you,thank you very much.

LOL.. no problem man.. in my home fridge i got digital temp sensors.. my fridge is 30 and my freezer is -3... thats how i know and i got a digital temp guage with a sensor in the new deep freezer and im monitoring it.

My wife got me straight. My freezers go from 1 to 5 or hi to low. Or cold to real F'n cold.
