You can wipe down the inside of the freezer/fridge with vanilla extract to get rid of the smell.
GFI's do nothing for power surges...they protect you from a ground fault by monitoring amperage in and out of whats plugged into it.
Thanks for all the info. I'm ordering a wifi temp monitor so it will send any change in temp. I just added a break out panel for my welded and air compressor just haven't have time to run a new line for the fridge and freezer. i didn't think abt the vanilla extract that's a great idea after the bleach. If i move the washer and dryer out of the house the wife would kill me. I really want to insulate the garage any ways so here is another good reason lol
I'm not so sure about insulating the whole garage, as "I've heard" doing so may cause condensation & mold. An inside dryer does throw heat, works against your a/c, costing you more $ in electric bills, but what price do you put on happy wife/happy life?
