my wood is so hard you can't even stick an axe in it! can't imagine trying to split it. take that any way you please, lol. glad I splurged for the better saw, a 20" husqavarna 55 cc app, my old 32 cc 16" maCuluh never would have cut it. this one is too big to use up in a tree or from the top of a ladder though. hopefully those days are over I'm getting too old for that crap.

I used to hunt an old P.R. gents dairy farm in the catskills. he was too old to swing an axe or sledge and would sit on his porch all day with a big coffee can full of tiny wedges and split logs with them and a hammer in his own sweet time. could have used some of those small wedges today to prevent binding.

we lost computer and phone but not tv, brighthouse bundled plan. if anythings better/cheaper I'm all ears. put my new harness to work today in the front yard cutting a huge oak limb way up there. double rung ladder fully extended & fastened to tree in 2 places with ratchet straps, me with harness tethered and linemans belt standing on top rung but stable/secure and didn't have to look up (which I can't do). so if anyone wants some good oak it's right next to the driveway this time, couldn't be easier to load. just gotta haul the brush away tomorrow and maybe fri have it cut into sections. if your gonna use it for campfires let me know and I won't kill myself cutting it short for stoves.
