It is mind boggeling how a virus can shut down an otherwise healthy body. Out in the woods one day and down for 6-8 days. I mean almost helpless. Makes me wonder what this little"bug" attacks that disables ones body. Any thoughts on that NG??

I'm no Dr but it affects you in many diff ways and no 2 people exactly the same way. my personal opinion/guess would be that the biggie is the rise in body temp, since all bodily functions happen idealy in a narrow zone, anything that takes your temp outside that zone is gonna affect every system. then you have airway, throat, eyes, ears, sinus and gastric irritation, inflamation and pressure. some bacteria and virus give you more distress after they die/decay and release toxins from inside their cells. many diff ways it puts a hurtin on you and bring the biggest/toughest guys to their knees.

if your not grossed out yet, that lemon wedge on your glass of iced tea. figure the person that picked it in whatever third world country hasn't washed his hands in a week, it goes to the restaurant gets sliced and put in a bowl unrefridgerated open to air/flies/roaches, fondled by every waitress with dirty hands then placed on the rim of your glass. it'd probly be more sanitary if they fished a turd nugget from a gas station toilet and put that on your glass.

that would be the least of your problem of possibilities at a restaurant. I seen some nasty things when i use to deliver wine to restaurants.
