There are people that will just take advantage. The housekeeper for the next door lady stopped and asked to pick some grapefruit last fall(they weren't even quite ready yet). I told her sure. SHe picks a plastic grocery bag full. Next day she is out there with a garbage can filling it up. And was proceeding to my orange tree. I stopped her there and told her she had taken advantage of my generosity and to take off. I let them fall off and rot before I would let her get any more

like I said uncle Danny is a class act but he has a crazy Puerto Rican girlfriend. I'm patiently waiting inside, bsing with Danny, in the a/c for the real wood coals on my Weber to reach the total grey stage, just a couple minutes more when I hear a huge commotion out there and everyone calling me. she decided it was hot enough and put 1/2 the steaks on the grill in some wacky array and then starts screaming their burning. now everybody in the world should know YOU DON'T TOUCH A MANS GRILL, DON'T EVEN WALK NEAR IT! so I gotta step in and salvage this fiasco, flip,re-position so I can fit the rest of the steaks. we got lucky but they didn't have my signature diamond grill pattern on them. this is one party that can't end soon enough. oh, then for the coup de gras she starts picking the not ready to pick string beans, tomatoes and golf ball sized green meyer lemons that I make my tonic with. I gotta tighten my headband or my head may explode.
I would have asked her to kindly leave, and my wife would have probably escorted her azz out the door after she went through her garden! Rude SOB's! Damm! This leads me to the famous saying of our friend Nacho Grande AKA Duetze "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished"!
what I'd like to know is whatever happened to reciprocation. where I came from if you invited someone to your place for dinner or hunting, you got an invite in return for the same. after a couple of times you recognize the pos's for who/what they are and cross them off the list. a real shame cuz my wife loves to entertain and we have a suitable place for it. me, I'm not the social butterfly my wife is but generally go along cuz "a happy wife makes a happy life". after hosting her hospital dept's annual Christmas party at our house for 6 years and never a return invite, except her Boss, I had to put my foot down. now there is no Christmas party.
