got my wifes bff is down for a visit and we offer to invite her uncle (a good guy and not doing well health wise) for a lunch at our house. he's a class guy and offers to buy the steaks, wine and diet coke (what they drink) and even drop it off 2 days early so we can marinate it and were wondering why he bought like 12 steaks for5-6 people. well we find out at 2pm (due here at 4pm) the daughter in law, her friend and 30+ y/o jailbird boy friend is coming also and HE only drinks REAL coke, could we go get some? meanwhile I'm on the road just around the corner from going to 2 diff stores last minute limping around on my cane and say sorry F him they are gonna drive past like 20-30 diff places this D-bag can get his damm real coke. still doing last minute cooking/cleaning and haven't had time to shower shave yet. some set of brass b*lls on these MF'n freeloaders. gotta chill and self medicate with some of my rheumatiz medicine before he gets here or I might just bust a cap and solve the whole coke issue.
You have a lot more patients than I do. When we have drop ins that are uninvited I just tell them what we have to drink and that's that. I'm not making a coke run. They can drink tea or water or coffee because thats what I drink and if they don't want that then they can bring their own. Sorry to rant...I don't like rude folks either. Just ain't they way I was raised.... :taz

I had a situation similar a few months back.I had just put wings on the egg and was a 6 packer or so in. There was a race or game going on, can't remember now..Wife was out doing running around, etc...My brother in law(her bro) pulls up with his family. next thing I know her parents pull up. She had invited them all over for dinner and never told me. next thing I know they are in my 12 pack sucking them up. I took the wings off, wife gets home and asks forgiveness...and asks me to grill burgers. I grill the burgers, go inside and they complement me on how good the wings WERE...I never got even one of them. At that point I sent myself to my room
