when I was in Colorado in 2003, I saw an 800 pound bull elk charge me and 2 other guys. We all thought the elk was dead and he was not. I have wrestled hogs and stuff my whole life and I will tell ya that scared me. The sight of an 800 pound animal running downhill towards you with a head full of daggers is not a sight that goes away. Luckily the elk was shot fairly good and could not stay on his feet for long, and he got his antlers hooked into a tree till we could shoot him again
