taco nacho can fix it with his hitchNhaul...lol
Mmmmm, tacos! in my dreams. I've brought people from dead to alive with just my hands, but fix a car or something mechanical, fuggedabowdit. sitting at home now with no heat futzing with the thermostat, can't get the outside "stuff" ( compressor ) to come on, inside shart is working.
If you have a split system NG then the outside unit won't come on when the heat is on. There should be heating elements in the air handler ( inside ) and the fan pushes the air past the elements in order to heat the house. No need for the compressor to run. That's about all I know about the A/C business. Crock ain't answered since the op so I guess he's still f'ing with it.
I replaced the thermostat this summer with a real cheapo from H.D., wonder if I got what I paid for and need to replace it again with the correct type for the system? I'm currently experimenting with all possible conection variations of the " jump wire ", he-hg and b-o switches, whatever the hell they are. got it blowing not warm air just fine but nothing outside working.
your heat will come from the heat strips, not the outside compressor, so in heat mode the outside will not run...unless you have a heatpump, then it will run outside the heat strips will only come on as emergency heat.
Sorry Crock, we are cluttering up your topic.
