Many years ago I enjoyed hanging out with everyone and tossing back a few. Now that I'm footing the bill it's another story. Soon as they get a few in them I'll have at least 1 azz if not 5 get drunk and mouthy. For the last 5 years or so I always say I'm not doing it again but the girls in the office always seem to talk me into it. Guess what. I'm not doing it this year. The only Xmas parties on my calendar this year are with friends that get drunk and make me laugh, not ones that piss me off. At least when I get drunk and mouthy the 'ol lady takes me home and ........... :rolleyes
Don't have to worry bout that with Mickey Mouse anymore. They stopped having "holiday" parties about 3 years ago. Now, they just order in some kind of catered BBQ dinner or pizza. For what they make on the sweat of our labors, you'd think we'd all get limos to a high dollar dinner ball with thousand dollar door prizes. Instead, last year I get a crappy ornament made out of scrap metal. REALLY! It even had a tag boasting about being made out of all recycled/repurposed scrap metal, pipe, and wire. Makes a good target for the bb gun in the back yard now though.
We used to have what the company called Carribean Week at work. It was basically a week long of drinking and partying during the day. Each department would decorate their area and everyone would have some kind of alcohol theme. Tropical drinks, margaritas, ect...
Well the 5th floor group decided to have a toga party up there complete with a keg. I got to work around 8 that morning and eventually a lot of people found there way up to the 5th floor. By 10 A.M. me and two other guys were at the local liquor store buying another keg.
Well the Vice President of IT came up there and started getting loose. At one point he had one girl bent over and was spanking her in front of everyone. LOL! About a week later, he was no longer with our company. Guess he had a little too much fun.
