Reminds me of a place I moved into up in Ft Walton Beach after I got out of the Air Force. The church we went to owned 3 houses next to the church that they planned to someday tear down and use the land for parking and expansion. They had two rented to church members, and the one in the middle rented to some nasty, dirty, in-need-of-Jesus people. The people in the middle house got arrested for domestic violence, kids were taken by DCS for abuse, and the church had to evict them. After the eviction, a group of us from church went in to clean the place. We almost all threw up when we walked in. The smell was awful! We were expecting to find a dead body, but it was old food left in the fridge. We ended up pulling out the fridge, the oven, the vent hood, the dishwasher, and all the carpet. All were beyond saving. One of members owned a pest control company, and he went in and sprayed, set off a bunch of bug bombs, and let it set closed up for three days. When he opened it up and we went in, you couldn't walk without stepping on dead roaches! We vacuumed and swept up a garbage can full of them.
Then me and a guy who was a paint contractor went in and coated the walls and ceiling with Killz, and repainted the inside. Another guy put in fresh carpet, and we installed new appliances. Place looked good inside when we were done. A couple of days later I moved in and lived there for almost 2 years. Never saw another roach, but we ran a humidifier one night in our bedroom for my wife's cold, and where the mist was hitting the walls you could see old nicotine seeping through the Killz and the paint! The previous renters must have lived in a haze!

That lady pissed me off and I made a call to DCF. There was crap stacked tot he ceiling in every room. She had small toddlers playing in the floor with open bags of garbage laying there and maggots coming out of them. She told me she didn't care, so that is why I called
