Went down the Manatee river with some boys from my church. It was very windy. they did a great job .
Good job! Probably something they'll never forget. That takes me back many, many years to outings such as that on the St.Johns River. Those Sunday School teachers were a great influence on us little fellers.

I remember taking a bunch of church kids on a camping trip to Manatee Springs. 15 kids running thru the woods at night is challenging, although you have to look out for their safety, but if they get into any mischif they'll tell on each other. Those are the days... Thamks for bring back memories of years past.

We teach them about Jesus most of all and serving others and camping skills, wilderness survival ,starting camp fires, fishing, making shelters, traps, orienteering.
We even have goat roping. My buddy brought in lassos. we let the kids practice on the other kids first. And he brought some goats and we let them try to catch the goats on the church playground in the middle of Bradenton. They then ear tagged them and gave them medicine. We have a lot of fun.
