Over the years I have met families that lived the RV life and I do mean families, lol. It all depends on your needs ie size and condition(new/used),work,family needs!!

I love it but I have gone backwards in a way I started off with campervan then to a 28 foot pull behind now to a truck camper.Where I am living it cost me $300 per month this includes water, electric and trash.Add in the cost for propane I use a 20lb tank every 4 months and it makes for cheap living. In time I will be looking for my own lot which is tough in this day and age with all the zoning crap. But then you can live dang cheap depending of course on your needs and wants.

There are campers that live just like homes or ones that live like a "camper" same goes with motorhomes.Again needs and wants!I have gotten to know many good ppl that live this lifestyle from 18 to 89 years old and I am amazed at how some live, rich to poor.

If you're not too picky, there are some good deals to be had on used FEMA trailers. The only issue is that they are not self-contained, meaning that you have to be hooked up to campground sewer and electric, and water hookups are just like mobile homes.
