sounds like some kind of a nerve conductivity test. I had one years ago for my back where they zap your feet with an electric current and measure how long/if at all it takes to be rec'd back and can tell which nerves are effected. glad you showed some improvement.
I have it done every 3 months to check for improvement and this was a major one.
