got all tore up wed. went to move my stinkcorn bucket to the other side of a ditch, maybe 10 feet thought I'd be able to throw it across. well the whole area on both sides of the ditch were flooded out and I'm in my usual sweat shorts and hawain shirt,sneakers. had to carry the 30 lb bucket about a mile and a half thru all kinds of thick palmeto and briars to move it the 10 feet. plus rifle pistol tools and wood to repair stand, a human pack mule. I'm not built for that kinda work. slipped and fell in the black mud, all scratched up and bloody and mosquito bit up, sneakers got sucked off my feet. my wife thought I was at some kinda mud wrestling S&M party. I've been sore all over for 2 days now, can't wait to get back. I keep telling myself the fun is in the doing, not the harvesting, tell it to my aching back.oh and Skunkape I even wrapped an old towell soaked in used motor oil around a tree trunk( with landowners permission ). when I went back into the swamp I had to go thru a section of that thick 6 inch square metal fencing, it was all straight when I went in when I left it looked like a freight train ran into it, all bent up. a good sized hog pushed its way under while I was back there. just a matter of time and patience.

finally home. did a job in Tarpon Springs, yesterday morning. got home at about 2:00. got a call at 3:00 down in Ft. Lauderdale. out the door be 3:30, work all night. got a hotel, finished this afternoon and headed home. what a day. have to do it once in awhile. i think my azz is flat from all the driving. lol
Ask Carlos about falling in the water.I've fell plenty this year,one time right thru the ice.Hopefully you'll have a meeting of the minds with this hog and catch it coming to your stand. Keep feeding it and try and give the spot a break once in awhile,maybe she'll bring some friends with her.
