So I was visiting my good friends gun shop the other day, trying to find a handgun that fits my hand just right. M&P was too funny feeling, glock and xds were funny aswell along with there compact and subcompact variants. Then he showed me a glock 29 and it fit perfectly with the pinky extension. When I got home I told my girlfriend about my day and about the glock I wanted, she gave me "oh thats nice dear'. About a day passed and my brother stopped by and asked me about said glock and if it's the one I really want, I said yea, 'glock 29 10mm blah blah blah' then my girlfriend asked me about it again. It started to get weird until I realized my birthday is aug 1st. Then she told me we should go to the range for my birthday. I'm giddy like a school girl waiting for my birthday now. Will keep yall informed if it was a terrible, well played prank, or I have the best girlfriend and brother ever 😀
Surprising a 10mm gun fits your hand better than a 40 cal. The 10mm has an interesting history. It was developed for the FBI. The female agents couldn't handle it, so it ended up being pulled from issue and the 40 cal became mainstream after that. It cost the US taxpayer millions in r&d.
I have a friend who is a MLB pitcher and hunts with me on occasion. He has one and I have shot it. It did not impress me. But all that matters is if you are happy
Yea, the 40 just felt off to me, as did pretty much every glock, 45 acp, 45 gap, 9mm, 357 sig. The only other handgun that felt pretty good besides the glock 29 was a xd 3.75.
Wonder if the FBI has any 10mm rounds stock piled up that they would like to donate to me,since they don't need it anymore????
