LOL! Yeah but she's getting old now. She's still got some grit in her, but not like before! She's got 3 or 4 bites notched in her belt. The cable guy, one or two friends of mine and the kid that lives down the road. I'm surprised I haven't been sued yet... LOL...
They are sleazy but SOME are kinda legit. they are low paid & unskilled and provided with meats to sell. when they don't sell all they need to that day, they may try door to door or roadside. No guarantees on how cold the meat is stored, or for how long. burgulary may very well be a side line. I have 2 NO SOLICITING signs on each side of my mail box, which are almost always ignored. My first question is always "may I see your solicitors license and Id please", "soliciting is illegal in this community"& "I already called the police" they never seem to hang around long.
I used to do it for a living.
There was never a delivery, they have no "extra" meat, it's a simple door to door sales job, same as the perfume / flower guys that come into office bldgs on Fridays.
If u guys are uncomfortable with the slow drivers or the nosy guys, get a license tag and write it down. call it in and eventually they will be stopped and run through ncic. They get the hint real quick.
