It felt good to sleep in my own bed again last night.Had to bury my wifes Mother last Tuesday, poor woman suffered from arthritis for years. She was one of the last remaining of her age from a small farming community in Missouri. Her husband was born and raised out there as was my wifes Grandparents. They farmed back before there were tractors, trucks, and any modern equipment or any deer.If you ever have a chance to sit down with any old timers and talk to them listen to what they have to say, they appreciate the respect they deserve. After I was married in '94 I moved up there and met lots of old farmers and heard hundreds of stories of how they did things way back.I got to hunt hundreds of acres of farms just for asking and visiting them from time to time.At the funeral Tues very few of them showed up because they were all gone.So next time you get the oppurtinity to visit with someone of that era, take a minute and listen to what they have to say,you may learn something.

I enjoy talking to old folks and have a lot of respect for the things they have done and learn much from them.
