The Deadliest Warrior. Man do they talk smack. 😆
Yeah, it's pretty funny. I saw the Apache vs. Gladiator and the Samurai vs. Viking episodes. I think the Ninja vs. Spartan is on this week.
So far I've called the first 2 correctly, even guessing pretty close to the number of simulated wins each would have. I'm not as familiar with the Spartans and their various techniques/weapons, so might be harder to call before I see the show. I do know Spartans weren't so much trained as individual fighters, but to fight as a unit.
A lot of these matchups are not exactly realistic, though. For instance, the Apache was a guerilla fighter, using stealth and surprise to his advantage, as well as a tremendous patience. They used the terrain and environment to put adversaries in bad situations. Overall the Apache warriors were probably some of, if not the greatest guerilla warfare fighters ever. However, put an Apache in a coliseum with a gladiator, he loses his biggest advantages. Then it comes down to hand-to-hand skills and choice of weapons.
I dvr'd both shows. I thought it was cool, but non-comparable in some aspects
Neat show anyway
I like seeing them talk smack and when it's time to back it they get shown to be a fool.
Yeah, I thought the Gladiator guys were really full of it. At one point the Apaches were ready to go at them when they were laughing about the tomahawks and knives.
