Anyone else take Crestor cholesterol meds? I think it is about to kill me. I've been real bad about taking my meds regular like I should. Last three months I have been johnny on the spot wit taking it and I am suffering from back aches and pains. Now I have like arthritic pains in my wrist. Funny thing is I have not done anything to hurt either. I know when I do something to myself to cause aches or pains but I haven't this time

My goal for this year is to improve my health to where I can get off these meds permanently. But for now I need them. Thinking of laying off the Crestor for a week and seeing if my pains improve. If so, then I know its the medicine

Seems like there is lots of info on the net to back up my theory that these chol meds cause these pains

My grandmother swears they have caused her long term health problems in her legs, dealing with pain for +/- 15 years. I too have read a lot of material on people having joint pains from it. I went on them for a little while, 1st they made me hungry as h**L and then started to make me feel out of sorts during the day at work. I started to take them at bedtime and that helped. The medicine made my #'s go too far the other way so I went down to half a dose on my own and then stopped taking them completely when our insurance changed. I need to work on getting healthier myself this year.

how long have you had these pains? if it were a med reaction I'd think it would be in all your joints. any recent strenuous work? maybe coming down with the flu, or welcome to getting older, you can come back from the mailbox with a limp for no apparent reason.ask your dr to switch to another med (generic imo) they all seem to work. and yes take them at nite/bedtime.

Dave I have been taking some form of a statin for 15 years off and on. I was horrible about taking meds on schedule but have been very dilligent about it the last few months. Ive noticed aches and pains getting worse and I also have muscle fatigue, especially n my arms and hands(another side effect). I also was taking 10mg and 2 visits ago he bumped me up to 20mg. I guess since then I have noticed it more

Lately my back aches are getting worse, last weekend I was miserable at the woods and took a muscle relaxer that my buddy had (and I slept till like 9am the next morning)
