Taking the time to find a mason or a lodge and approach them to ask about joining shows the initiative and drive, shows them that you were serious enough to want it and put forth the effort, it's a requirement for joining.
I think they give brick-laying lessons at Home Depot. Wouldn't make you a full-fledged mason, but it's a place to start!

Yeah, there is no recruiting from the freemasons. You have to ask and inquire yourself.
I have several friends that belong to the lodge at Mad. beach. I really do not know much about there secrets. I do know that the fellas I know are real stand up men that help the needy on many fronts, and try to live a good honest life. Many are business owners, and outdoorsman that do a lot for communities all over the state. I have been invited myself, but just do not think I could commit all the time that my buddies do, and would not want to short change a fine organization like the Masons.
