Sittin' on the front porch, drinking our coffee this morning, my wife asked me, "Did you ever think we would live this long :crip ?"

It seems like a long time when you consider we are celebrating 47 years of marriage today, on the other hand time has flown by, seems only yesterday we were just married and spending lots of time in the woods and on the water with no responsibilities.

Lots of water under the bridge since 1966, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I feel very blessed to have these years with my wonderful wife, Joy :flowers !

Wow. 47 years. Congrats! My folks have 33 and I'm trying to round the 4 year mark. What's your secret?

The secret is finding someone who has your interests in life and future and hobbies.

There's gotta be a little more to it than that. Lol
I've got a great one who loves to fish, hunt, dive, boat, camp, etc. but there is certainly still work involved. No to mention picking your battles. My wife and I have always told each other the truth, talked about what's going on in our lives and how it's affecting us, and decided that if one of us feels really strongly about something that that person takes the lead. So far it's worked out!
