Born in an unincorporated part of Jefferson County in Colorado. The closest actual towm was Golden, Colorado which is the home of Coors beer.
Been Navy for well over 2 decades now. In that time I've lived in Califoria (hated that damn place), Hawaii (good place for a bachelor), Diego Garcia (9 sq miles of sand and coral in the middle of the Indian Ocean), Virginia (Norfolk area), Colorado (did a tour of recruiting duty back home), and here in Pensacola. I'll be headed back to Virginia in May for my last tour of duty.
The wife will stay here and after I retire, I'll head back to Pensacola. But, I still own a place in Colorado and will spend at least a couple months back there. You can take the boy out of the Rockies, but you'll never take the Rockies out of the boy.

Born in In., lived in Calf, La as a kid, grew up in Mo. then moved around to Ky, Al, and Ohio and finally moved to Fl and been here for 20 year and really enjoy the winters here.
As I said before, I was born in Plant City, but between ages of 5 and 16 I lived in Shreveport LA, Houston TX, Phoenix AZ, El Paso TX, Tucson AZ, South Africa, back to Tucson AZ, Monroe LA, Jekyll Island GA, Lake City FL, Baton Rouge LA, finally back to Lakeland FL. 3 years later joined the USAF and went to BMT in San Antonio, tech school in Denver CO, first duty station Valdosta GA, then Osan Korea, Las Vegas NV, then retrain in Biloxi MS, then off the Ft Walton Beach FL (Hurlburt Field) where I stayed almost 10 years (first 6 of those still USAF). Then moved down here to Bradenton/Sarasota in 1998. I have now lived in this house longer than I have ever lived in one place, just over 10 years.
Born and raised in Plant City, FL....During my career in the Coast Guard I lived in Charleston SC, Yorktown VA, Kodiak AK, Ft Lauderdale FL, Jacksonville FL, St Pete FL, and Kingsland GA. I am now retired and living in Lake Wales.
Hellbilly, I will not bite my tongue.......If there are people in this great state that are tired of it, then take your :ahole back up north!!!! I have alot of friends from up north that has moved down here and I have no problem with that.... but do not sit here and complain about and put down this great state!!!!!!!!
Hellbilly was just teasing, another poster said Fl is too overpopulated. Lighten up pal,he wasn't complaining. But I will,Walt Disney ruined this state,way to much growth and development. The growth has to slow down,there's more friggin' housing developments and Mexicans than we need. Traffic sucks big time,last time I went to south Fl I couldn't even understand anybody.We all have friends from everywhere else,but if things don't change we will end up like California,busted and overpopulated welfare state.
