Having the inside of the bbl threaded, to the same size that would accept choke tubes (which I assume is how they would do it), as well as your door breacher would be a huge +. You could pick up a set of choke tubes & a full sized rear stock (I liked the houge overmolded black rubber one) & screw off the door breacher, put in an extra full turkey choke, or a mod/imp cyl for birdshot/buckshot/slugs & have a short barreled shotgun for 4 different uses. A pistol gripped/door breacher for s/d, turkey, hog, deer shotgun. The problem is that everyone that has changed a pair of grips claims to be a master gunsmith & will tell you "sure I can do that". Threading is easy, getting that threading PERFECTLY straight/true & aligned correctly is where the skill & experience comes in. Dixie slugs (near perry fl ?) has a smith they refer all their customers to for bbl threading, He does ALOT, you could call them.

The original owner James C. Gates (a finer gentleman never lived) must have been severely ill or died a few years back? and yes they did close for a time, but are now back open. I don't know if the biz is still in the family or the same location. But there you go.
Thank you! I know they sell the kit to do it your self but dont want to buy it cause ill only use it once!
