What I would do before spending one dime on a fancy scatter gun, reloading supplies and a jacked up golf cart, is head over to a reputable sporting clay course and se what they have to rent. The range I go to has rentals and you van shoot them all and they will more often then not give you instructions, tips, etc to help you out. Shoot all they have and see what you like best. Then save up and get what you want. Don't spend a bunch without shooting a bunch. The gun clubs will be happy to help you find out what works best so you will be happy and being some friends the next time you come around.

That's what I said at the top of page two? [quote="I'd recommend you shoot a bunch of guns, friends, people at the range, rentals, etc before buying anything or else you are going to go through a bunch of guns and money to find the right one for you.

Use that 870, get you a MEC 600 JR 12 ga reloader ($300) and enough supplies for 500 rounds and start from there....

Here is a nice one... Just bought it on gun broker for a friend of mine to complete his collection of 1100's. They don't get any nicer than this bad boy and in .410.... Try shooting skeet and sporting clays with that one..... WOOOOOO...

An 1100 or o/u in .410 is definitely on my list. I use to trap shoot with my grandfathers old single shot before shooting my 12. I usually could hit 19-20 with the little guy. After that I would dust them with the 12. .410 is just so Damn pricey to shoot.
