Hey guys, what do y'all think of the Hi-Point Carbines? My buddy's brother has one in .45 cal and loves it. I was looking at the 4095TS on their website and it looks pretty cool for $319 out of the box. It would save me a bundle on reloads using the same ammo as my XDM 40. Plus there's a bunch of goodies you can buy for it to make it even cooler :batman

I'm thinkin' about dropping some hints to my kids for Christmas...

I owned one in 9mm for exactly a week. I found it to be cheaply built and was a jammamatic. I sold it for $50 more than I paid for it

Maybe they've improved now, but that one I had was a POS

I have it in a 9mm and no issue with jams or anything else. Shoots pretty accurate for a 9. They come with a lifetime warranty so if you have an issue it is free to fix and they respond quickly. Made in America, Ohio, and very good customer support. Ugly.. No I would call them FUGLY... But performance and price wise, they're a cheap to own... cheap to shoot... multi cosmtetic options available, and cheap..... I only see a win win for a beater pinker. Well worth the investment in a ugly, solid everyday shooter.

Sorry to disagree but I hope my personal experience and opinion is accepted. Not an expert, just Joe weekend hunter and plinker with a tight budget.

Peace...

Yep Jester, that's response I got from Dennis' brother. Fun, cheap and reliable. He told me when he first got his they tried to get it to jam by running all sorts of 45 ammo through it. Not even a hint of jamming. They shot different brands, loads and even reloads mixing them up in the clip and it still fed everything without an issue. I'm thinking one of these are in my future...now if I could get my wife to bite!

And I do like that it's American made! :usa3

I shot a 45 hi point. Wow was that thing heavy. Had to clean it for my friend to they could have made it a little easier to disassemble then taking out a roll pin
