So an old friends father is selling some of his guns. An old mossberg 12 with 2 barrels, an old marlin semi 22 rifle, a thompson renegade 50 cal bp gun, and a 44 mag lever action marlin. I can get the thompson and 44 mag for 375. I am interested in both these guns.... is the thompson worth it for 125, he is going to give me molds for casting minnie balls, and other accessories with the thompson, is this a good deal? Wishing I woulda held off on the .40 i just bought.

No way is that a good deal on a 44 mag lever action.... You'd be better to pass on that. Plus you have to save up for an engagement ring... I'll take a look at the 44 if you'd like it to go to a forum brother... :innocent

You come home with 2 or 3 more long guns..........you might just dig a hole you will not be able to crawl out of :no On the other hand, I would like to have a .44 mag lever in my collection as well :rockon

You have to learn how to be discrete and sneak them in the house and garage. Collecting, buying, trading and selling always helps IMHO, the more you have the harder they are to keep track of for her. Lucky for me that I have enough that when a few more show up she realizes that a few probably leave as well.

that's one of those DEPENDS ON type deals, models/condition/what type shotgun bbls etc. WITHOUT seeing them or knowing what mdl/condition the thompson and the 22 are. imo the 44 is the only one that might have some real value but not 375$ unless a very in demand mdl in primo condition. that would be a deal I would make an offer for ALL, keep one or two and sell the rest. without the info, sight un seen I'd be hard pressed to offer more than 500$-700$ max. get the info/pics and do some homework, or roll the dice and offer 500$ and be prepared to catch hell. the little woman may as well know now what she is in for.gunboy would have a better idea than me. but those are the kinda deals I like best, buy severall at once, sell most for a small profit at a gun show and get 1 or 2 at a bargain.
