you like that 6.8 better than your old Garrand? sorry if I'm rubbing salt in an open wound.
I miss my ole' Garand, dont get me wrong. This gun was purchased for several reasons. 1) wife and daughter like to shoot it, unlike the garand they hated to shoot. 2) My daughter is also Security Forces in the Airforce so she can use this weapon to practice with when she is home on leave. 3) I get my first AR platform since I was in the Army, and 4) hope to hunt with it this year.(if not me the wife)
I also have a 30.06 bolt action rifle I can use to hunt as well.
I will always have a special place in my heart for the Garand, but it has always been in the shadow of the M1A/M14 I am saving my coins for one of those next.

now your talking always wanted one of those and a BAR but that is way out of the $ ballpark.
Found a Belgium Browning BAR in .30-06 like new condition, probably 95% for $750 today and passed.
the military BAR, not the hunting one.
