Hope this one's easy. I am applying for CCW. I took the course and did the paperwork and will send it in the AM. I am confused on one issue: how much do I send with my application? When I took the course, the instructor said $117, but the State webpage says $112. Obviously, I don't want to send too much or too little. Knowing how gov't works, the wrong amount could end up delaying my license!
Does anyone know for sure the CURRENT fee?
Thanks!
$112 - $70 application fee and $42 fingerprint processing fee.
From the "FLORIDA CONCEALED WEAPON OR FIREARM LICENSE APPLICATION":
FEES: The total fee for the Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License is $112.00. This total actually consists of two
separate fees:
License Fee: $70.00
Fingerprint Processing Fee: $42.00
IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING FEES
• If you had your fingerprints electronically scanned at a local law enforcement agency, you do not need to remit the
$42.00 fingerprint processing fee to the Division. Please refer to the ELECTRONIC FINGERPRINT SUBMISSION
INSTRUCTIONS included with this application package.
• If you are a CONSULAR SECURITY OFFICIAL, a $300.00 license fee must be submitted with your application.
• If you are a FLORIDA LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, CORRECTIONAL OFFICER, OR CORRECTIONAL
PROBATION OFFICER (ACTIVE or RETIRED), refer to the instructions for QUESTION 2 and QUESTION 3 for
information concerning the required fees.
Fees must be paid with a check or money order made payable to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services. Do not send cash. The Department will assume no liability for cash sent through the mail. Fees are
nonrefundable and nontransferable.
If you can go to the office. Its quicker they will make sure everything on the application is right. You get your license faster they fingerprint you and take your picture.
