Went to my appointment this morning, in and out in about 10 minutes. Would have been faster but I was the first one for the day and they had to warm up the fingerprint machine and laser printer. I tell you what, those ladies at the Punta Gorda office are awesome! Just as friendly and efficient as can be. If the rest of the government was run that way we'd be in high cotton!
So about this time next week I should have my permit, then just have to decide what to get for carry at various times.
get a different carry piece for each type of shoes/boots/or sandals thats what im goin for

Just make sure it matches and fits into your purse, and you're good to go! 😀
I'd like to have 3, maybe 4 to choose from, depending on what I'm doing. Plus something to keep handy in my truck at all times. Have to get me some Thunderwear or one of those other holsters recommended on here.
yeah I carry a 357 in the car and a 380 in my pocket and in the winter sometimes I just carry the 357. We ae fighiting for the open carry in FL so will switch then to a cowboy style 44 mag then.

It came in the mail today! Took 9 calendar days, 6 business days with last week's Veteran's Day. Very simple, worth the trip to Punta Gorda for sure!
I like that Florida's carry permit covers more than just guns. I'm gonna get one of those collapsible batons, and start carrying a bigger edge than the little Swiss Army knife I have now. Sometimes cold steel is what it takes to get the job done!
