so i just ordered my xd .45 and im lookin to buy some bulk ammo. ive looked on cheaper than dirt but have no idea which ones are better or worse. i dont wanna buy 250 rounds of ammo that is gonna jam every other shot. i guess what im tryin to say is i know what ammo to buy for personal defense at a good price, but bulk ammo for target practice im not reeally sure of how cheap is too cheap. thanks guys!!
An XD should not jam on just quality of ammo alone. It should eat anything you feed it. Stay away from any steel-cased ammo such as TulAmmo or Wolf and you should be alright. There are a million threads on the internet about whether it will harm your gun or not....just stay away from it. its junk
The cheap paper punching ammo sold at Wal Mart has always done well for me. During the Obama ammo shortage, I bought every box of 9mm and 40 I could find. I've shot a pile of it w/o a hiccup

try ammoman.com, they ship free and have good deals now and then. military surplus might be an option for bulk. for self defense I go with what leos use for lawyer proofness, like speer lawman or winchester ranger, avoid badazz sounding names like black talon or golden sabre
Winchester sxt is a good one for self defense. I ran them in my xdm with zero problems. They are exactly like the black talons from what I've been told
