I do not have any choke on my shotgun so I went to walmart today and they had some factory-standard Mossberg 500 Accu-Choke tube. Its the one like an inch or little longer choke tube if you know what I mean.
If I buy this, Do I need some kind of special too to put it on or can I just put it on without any special tool?
Thank you guys
there are little notches in the choke tube to turn it in. you could improvise with something but the choke tube wrench is small/thin/flat and cheap and probably the best thing to use. be carefull, the metal M.B. uses is cheap and soft and easily buggered up. a set of chokes and/or a wrench would be a good item to look for at a gun show, or breakdown and order direct from M.B., some gun shops probably have a wrench for you. those factory chokes will be ok for most things but you will want an aftermarket one for best results for turkey, you can get a x-full from M.B.
I went to a gun shop and asked them for a choke wrench for my Mossberg. They laughed and told me to use a quater. All you have to do is snug them up by hand when you put them in. Don't over tighten. Make sure you use a little bit of gun grease on the threads before you put it in. Otherwise you'll find out the hard way that it's not easy to remove. You can find the grease in walmart by the black powder supplies.
If you do a lot of shooting, make sure you check to see if the choke is still snug. It shouldn't come loose, but check it anyway.
By the way, I saw your ad on Fl Gun Trader. Has anyone offered you anything?

First thing,Is your shotgun threaded for a choke tube? What ammo do you plan to shot thru it?
I just bought a factory standard size choke tube for my 500citizenship and it doesn't even go in... I guess I bought a wrong one... but when I stick a finger in to the barrel, I don't feel any threads for first few inches from the tip. And about 3 inches in from the tip, I feel something like a thread but I not sure id it is a thread for choke tube or not...
