Has anyone hunted Myakka during small game? I've heard it is a zoo and I've heard it's not so bad. I did find this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gremaD4jIr4 . Wonder if they're that timid all the time....
That video was Myakka State Park, which is east of Sarasota off SR72. The Myakka Small Game Hunting Area is 20-30 miles south of there off River Road headed down to Englewood, just south of Venice. Some of the Pinellas Pig Posse ProStaff members have been down there and killed some pork chops on the hoof. I've been thinking about getting down there myself. Might take a sick day next Tuesday or Wednesday and give it a go.
That were I do my hunting. There's one or two hogs in there. It's kind of hit or miss when it comes to the # of people in there. I've only been during the week days. The weekends probly get crazy.

Sounds good. Justin will be home tomorrow night for the holidays, so I'd like to get him out in the woods at least once while he's home. And he won't need a license now, since he's active duty military stationed outside Florida and on leave!
