Congratulations to y'all, Williston folks :clap ! Our Chipley High School team had to come back in 2nd place. Two of our very close friends, grandsons were on the Chipley team, one was the boy who ended up in the hospital with some shoulder issue. Haven't heard the extent of his injury.
20 years ago our son was playing baseball at Chipley, they never made it to a state play off with the high school team but they went to the Dixie Boys state tournaments each year down in Sebring or Avon Park on a franchise team. An interesting fact, is our son is the senior project manager with the steel fabricating company the built the Jet Blue Stadium a few years back. His office is in Thomasville and he said it was quicker to drive to Fort Meyers than to fly out of Tallahassee, by the time you did all security and car rental you could be at the job site.
