Agreed.

But I could go with either Shimano or Penn. I have used shimano trolling reels (TLDs) and have used Penn reels (forget which ones) when bottom fishing.

ive noticed that some people are either penn or shimano people.. most penn people deep sea fish and shimano people fish flats... This is just out of the people i know.. This is not a proven fact or nothing.. Just what ive noticed.
