UPDATE! A 45 minute surgery went a 1 1/2 and before they put me under they did a pain block on my intire arm. Just as soon as I woke up I thought that I was going to die, pain was a 15 on a 1-10 scale. Pain block didn't work at all. They pumped all kinds of pain killers in me to try and get it under control with no luck. Finally they tried another pain block again that only worked about halfway, but was able to bear it. Keep in mind, I was first on the list for surgery and didn't get home till 7:00 PM. 12:30 this morning the pain block stopped working so I was up the rest of the night and what they sent me home with for pain doesn't work. So it hasn't been a fun day...please pray for pain relief! :tequila :tequila :tequila

Being in pain sucks. I remember all too well two years ago when I tore my ankle up, looked down and saw my foot sitting sideways to my leg. I screamed so loud in pain my throat bled. I couldn't stand the sight of that, so after snatching my foot back in place, I passed out, came to and puked, and screamed some more for about two hours. You see these videos on sports, like the Joe Theisman leg break, Cadillac Williams blowing his knee, the other Bucs player that blew his knee this year, and a few others that slip my mind...you can't fathom the adrenalin takeover you get and the things you will do...
I did my ankle once and remember thinking, who the hell is screaming? oh thats right, it's me. hope it's not nerve damage. do you have feeling in the hand (other than pain)? able to touch each finger tip to your thumb, or pick up a coin?
Well I had to dig this one up from the archives. In the morning Pop's and I are going to try the dreaded fighing trip again. It's not really dreaded just the same trip that we took when I broke my arm. Another day with pops on the water will be a good day hopefully. There aren't many day that pops feels like going and doing. For the first time this year dad told me that he was just to tired to go hunting anymore and that his days of hunting are over. I hate to hear that because hunting has always been one of the things that we did all of the time. Anyway off to go fishing tomorrow with pops to come home and cook chicken for 60 people... Sounds like a full day.
