The scrap yards pay a around a buck a pound depending on the market and most tire shops save their weights to sell. You could probably stop by some small (owner run) shops and offer to buy them at current price. May pay off for ya..Just an idea..
I've got probably 50 lbs in "pucks"....that are 3 thru 5 pounds each. We used them as kart chassis tuning weights. I'm south of the bay.
Borntohunt Yes thats where i was getting the lead. but the tire companies now have contracts with a lead buying company.. and they don't use lead anymore for tire weights due to the enviremental problems
I have a good amount at the shop I don't really need, also alot of battery terminals. maybe 50-75lbs total. Got anything cool to trade?
